Ellen..Even in a city where there are many excellent bakeries, City Sweets stands out. Deborah was incredibly accommodating in terms of meeting me and my fiance, and listening to what we wanted. She brought six sample cupcakes for us to try based on our preferences -- the only problem we had was in deciding among all of them. They were all delicious! Deborah also worked with us on the design of our cake, the decoration of which was a little different from anything she'd done before. She gave us sketches, took revisions, and in the end gave us a cake that surpassed our expectations. Several people at our wedding commented that it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had.
LIsaac..The Best Cake Ever. The cake was so good that we ended up eating the top tier that we planned on saving for our anniversary in our hotel suite. The cake was beautifully designed, affordable and most importantly tasted delicious. C.J.H...Deborah is definitely one of my favorite vendors when planning my wedding. She was very enthusiastic and extremely friendly. I ordered abou 150 cupcakes for our wedding and everyone raved about them. The cupcakes were so good I even got them for my husband’s 30th birthday! I also ordered a birthday cake from Deborah and she even delivered them to the restaurant. The cake not only tasted delicious, but the presentation is amazing. Overall, I highly recommend her…you won’t be disappointed!
Jen B...There was an instant connection with our first meeting. Deborah had cupcake samples waiting for us based on our preferences and some of her own suggestions. She also had a pen and paper ready to sketch and map out some ideas. She is absolutely wonderful to work with, extremely creative, and the samples were heavenly! middle of a hot summer. How to transport a fondant wedding cake that far without being ruined or melting was definitely something we were all concerned with. The absolute best part was the flavor! I have never really seen people eat wedding cake at a wedding, honestly. This one was devoured! We saved the top to traditionally freeze it for a year, and it was just as excellent as the day she made it. We had such a wonderful experience with Deborah and her company. I couldn't ask for a nicer, more friendly person to work with. Definitely try her out for your event!
Stacey L...I wish every one of my vendors were as warm, creative, talented, and had as high standards as Deb! The cake she made for our wedding was gorgeous, with a cascade of huge, pink, hand-made sugar flowers that my guests thought were real. And with three different types of cake (chocolate, vanilla, and almond), with chocolate ganache filling and chocolate buttercream frosting, well--I had no idea that wedding cakes could taste that good-- among the best cake I have eaten, anywhere. And...that chunk of cake we put away to eat on our first anniversary? Still scrumptious after one year!
